Background

I turned professional in 1993 armed with an Arriflex camera and a passion for wildlife. I got my first break with Partridge Films shooting footage for a pilot about the Pheasants of China.

Since then I have filmed Drama, Documentary, Science, Current Affairs, Commercials, Music Promos, News, Sport, Corporate, Reality Television, live Outside Broadcasts and everything in between.

I have Produced several series for television as well as some single programmes. The knowledge gained has given me the insight to understand programme production from both sides of the budget sheet.

I regularly work on HD, Digi and DV in all their forms as well as 35mm and Super 16.

I have filmed from almost every moving platform you care to mention as well as from some that shouldn’t have!

My first feature credit as Director of Photography came in 2000. A proud moment for me. I have had many since but the first one will always be special.

I now concentrate on being the best cameraman I can possibly be and cross all genres. My selected list of credits will show the wide variety of subject matter that I have been fortunate enough to be involved with.

I still shoot wildlife for various production companies but my wide experience now enables me to move across the board.

I started with a passion for the moving image - which endures to this day.
